This is a list I have been adding to since mid September. I have been working on a BuJo since mid-August, starting the habit/mood tracker September 1st. As of October 15th, I am trying out daily, weekly, and monthly pages in a separate book.
The Benefits of Using a Bullet Journal I Have Noticed at Two Months In
1. Tracking makes me pay attention to what I'm doing since I'm looking at the time to record it later. I rarely ask myself now, Did I take that vitamin or not? I know exactly the time I wake up, eat, dress, etc.
2. Tracking has made me aware of my habits. The same color boxes all next to each other on the same line tell me I am doing some things more than I would have thought. I see what to improve on and what I'm doing good with, and what I never do!
3. This is the first time I've ever had a literal bucket list written on actual paper, or a list of places to photograph, restaurants to go, etc. The lists are all together, I'll know where I wrote them to find them, and they will be easy accessible. I fill in parts of the page when I do stuff (like coloring the border of a Polaroid) so I'll see how much I actually do cross off.
It is also nice to have a list of ideas, like when I think of somewhere I want to eat, I put it down for later so I'll know where to look when I'm trying to think of a special place to go. "I know there was somewhere I said I wanted to try, what was that place?" I don't get book or movie suggestions, so I didn't make up those popular pages. I customized the BuJo to me with pages like places to photograph rather than make up trendy pages I'll never use.
4. Making these creative pages gives me a somewhat functional outlet for design ideas. Why else do I need a placemat with a plate of pizza containing letter toppings titling the page? It's a set thing to draw in. I draw more than just when I have an idea for a sketch. My BuJo is what I pick up. It's ongoing like my wedding projects were. It and the supplies are out on the coffee table.
5. Bullet Journaling seems to have kept my creativity that I retapped into for the wedding going. I often am excited to rush home to my journal for an idea. I am thinking of taking it to work to relax me there when I need a PC break.
6. I don't think it's increased my cleaning productivity yet, but it has given me something productive to do at times I would just be chilling. It's an easy activity, has a bunch of various things in progress to work on to suit my current mood, and like already mentioned, it is out, right there waiting to be grabbed. It also has given me something other than being on the phone to do when resting.
7. Which brings up another point, it is sort of a Digital Detox. Less phone time. I'm doing a pen and paper activity like days past, not all drawing or editing pictures on my computer. Maybe I will rehone my drawing skills or improve my handwriting! Sometimes now I prefer to hand draw and sit comfy on couch, instead of being on the computer, unusual for me!
8. I am trying to make game pages for cleaning and organizing tasks and productivity goals so I can track if I am making progress. I don't know how excited I will be filling in a pixel in my pixel art or moving to the next railroad tie, but it is worth a try to have the reward of seeing it. I started a video game page 10/18 I want to use as paths to completing organizing boxes of wedding items. I hope these pages will hold me accountable and make it more fun seeing I have something to show I am working on it and keeping up with my goal of time spent doing chores. It is also fun to practice drawing!
9. After only doing daily pages a few days, I am recalling my to do list better. I keep reviewing the page to remember tasks I planned to do. There is an aforementioned book to write them in. Sounds silly, but some times I don't bother writing a to do list for my day off because the tablet isn't write there. I am using my BuJo in combination with the Sticky Notes and Evernote apps. I jot to do lists down in my phone because that is what I have with me when I'm out and think of things (I don't carry my BuJo). I have been transferring tasks from the digital post-it note to the BuJo daily page at night or early morning. I delete them from my phone if I check them off. I want to keep up with the phone since that is my planner away from home and can easily hold later tasks.

after reading this post i realise how really important a journal is for me too. it is a must have for people who like to keep a track with themselves
