Focus on the Positive...but Develop from the Negatives

I often wonder about people who continually post quotes and comments about how others put them down and how their success will one day show all of them. Now, I don't know their situation, maybe their life is filled with unsupportive people, but can there really be that many people constantly thinking about how they want said person to fail? Most people tend to be pretty self-absorbed in their own lives and their actions usually have little to do with anyone else. Which works the other way, too: people who are truly striving to achieve something are doing it for themselves and tend to be too busy working hard to care what other's opinions are of them, other than to have the time to even notice. That being said, as these types of posts go on for months, it seems the poster is creating a competition where there may not even be one, or magnifying it nonetheless.
